About
The Byte Boosters Dark Sound is a new stereo output and mono input sound card for the IIGS first released in 2017. It looks like it's based on the MDIdeas Super Sonic and Digitiser card, so recording software for that card might work as well for this. Another alternative to try is Audio Zap, a fantastic shareware turned freeware designed to work with many of the different digitisers avaiable for the IIGS. Audio Zap is available on the Utilities & Aural Creative 32 meg ProDOS volume.
No drivers or additional setup is required for stereo output - programs either support stereo or not, but most games and music applications do.
Now available to purchase regularly on Console5 !
Another modern alternative that should be more readily available that provides stereo output is the Manila Gear 2soniq card .
