About

Jigsaw! was a game hailed by those christened "Mouse Potatoes", a term conceived by A+ Magazine for all those gamers out there that weren't quick with a joystick and hated the thrills, chills and spills of any game resembling some form of action.

It was released by Britannica Software in 1988, before the introduction of Britannica's IIGS gaming label, Fanfare, and was created by the European Software Partner (ESP) led by Huibert Aalbers of Laser Force and SoundSmith fame.

What can I say? If you own a Mac, this game is rather redundant thanks to the Puzzle desk accessory or puzzle widget that comes with the Mac OS. Jigsaw! does come with its very own pictures, in fact a disk full of them and it could be played for nostalgia's sake alone for those die hard Mouse Potatoes. In fact, the game doesn't do a lot for me; I've neither been very good at jigsaw puzzles!

Huibert Aalbers has reclassified his games Laser Force and Jigsaw as freeware! Yay!
