Pipe Dream was released by LucasFilm games in 1989, the IIGS version of Pipe Dream also included the 8-bit IIe, IIc version on 5 1/4 inch floppy, the IIGS version being on 3.5" disk, of course.
The IIGS version is a great conversion, wonderfully handled by Visual Concepts lads Scott Patterson and Matt Crysdale.
Speaking broadly, Pipe Dream could be a called a Tetris variation. The game is simple: ooze escapes from the sewer and it's your job to fit extra pieces of pipe to ensure the ooze runs off somewhere else.
It's not as easy as all that, because there are many different pieces of pipe and they have to be used one after the other and are given at random, meaning you'll have to think ahead and not necessarily place pipe connecting to another piece down the line. Pipe can be replaced in the same space, but you lose points for doing so. You also lose points for pipe placed on the game field but not used to divert the ooze. Use the keypad to direct the selection box and open apple or option is the fire button to lay down pieces of pipe.
